Vanity Callsign License Plate
Vehicle owners who are residents of Georgia and hold an unrevoked / unexpired official amateur radio station license issued by the Federal Communications Commission may obtain one free amateur radio vanity tag with their FCC assigned amateur radio call letters.
To order or renew a vanity tag, take your FCC license to your county tag office. Mail applications are no longer accepted, according to the Georgia DMV.
Amateur radio vanity tags cannot be issued in a business name. They tag may be transferred between vehicles owned by the applicant. The ownership of the tag cannot be relinquished. Only one Amateur Radio tag can be issued to an applicant.
Vanity tags are available on a fixed five-year cycle; apply at the beginning and every five years.
