Field Day
Overview
Every year on the 4th weekend in June amateur radio operators head to the great outdoors for the premiere Amateur Radio Relay League (ARRL) operating event – Field Day. For a 24-hour period they work in simulated emergency conditions to contact as many other amateur radio stations as possible. There are at least two primary goals for Field Day:

2014 Results
During Field Day 2014, the teams operating our 3A stations made a total of 3,191 contacts under the call sign K4JJ. The count does not include contacts made by the GOTA station, the satellite station, or the 6M station.

2014 Details
June 28-29, 2014 will find NFARL back at our usual location the Waller Park Extension on Dobbs Road in Roswell.
Toward that end we will be running 3A (three transmitters on generator power). In a little bit of a break with the past we will have:
We will also have a Get On The Air (GOTA) station for those recently licensed or even those not licensed at all, 6-meter station and a satellite station. Look for some new antennas at NFARL FD 2014.
A Scout Radio Merit Badge class will take place starting at 8:00AM at the Field Day site at Waller Park Extension. Click here for more information about the Radio Merit Badge Class. The 2014 class is full, and registration in closed.

Field Day is always a grand adventure and there is something for everyone to do. We look forward to seeing you at Waller Park Extension the fourth weekend in June. Please come to see and stay to participate.
Location
NFARL's Field Day activities will take place at Waller Park Extension on Dobbs Road in Roswell.
Talk-in to the site will be on 147.06 + (600k) with 100 Hz tone.
