We hope to see a lot of NFARL folks in Dayton. If you have not been, you should go. It's by far the largest hamfest in the nation, and you will see more vendors than anywhere else. Plus, you will have fun and get to help Jim and the club celebrate.
Here's the information on Dayton:
1) Folks choose a variety of times to see Dayton. Friday, 5/14, is the best time to see the boneyard and the crowds are moderate. Saturday is also excellent but with larger crowds. And Sunday is more relaxed and less crowded.
2) For the QRP enthusiasts, the international QRP ARCI club holds Four Days in May beginning on Thursday, 5/13, and continuing through Friday into Saturday. This is an excellent gathering even if you are not a died-in-the-wool QRPer. http://www.fdim.qrparci.org/
3) Jim, W4QO, and several others are staying at the Homewood Suites in Fairborn, OH. http://homewoodsuites1.hilton.
4) The distance is about 500 miles, all Interstate and and an easy day drive.
5) Delta and AirTran have direct round-trip fares for $160 and up.....an excellent deal.
6) Here is the Hamvention web site: http://www.hamvention.org/
