Antenna SIG kicked off on January 30

The initial meeting of the NFARL antenna special interest group was held Saturday, January 30 at the Masonic Lodge in Alpharetta.  A huge crowd turned out for the meeting and was greeted with doughnuts and coffee to break the morning chill and get their creative juices flowing.

Instructors Wes W3WL, Chuck AE4CW, Jim K4DLI, and Roger AA2HT did a great job of leading the session, and masterfully began the process of clearing the mysteries surrounding antennas.

We will meet on the 145.47 repeater at 8:30 each Thursday evening beginning February 4, for a Q&A discussion of the week’s topics.  We encourage you to read each assignment and come to the net armed with your questions, insights and hopefully some answers you can share with the group.  We will also use the chat room at nfarl.dodropin.org to share information during the net.  Log into the chat room with your name and call, e.g. Chuck-AE4CW.

The next meeting is scheduled for March 6 at the Masonic Lodge in Alpharetta.  Note that this is a change from the original schedule necessitated by the Dalton Hamfest.
