Field Day Bulletin #2

May 5, 2010

T-Shirts and More!

Greetings fellow NFARLites.

Field Day is now just over eight weeks away, and there is much going on.  First order of business is the 2010 Field Day T-shirt.  You can see the artwork, designed by Edward Doyle, KJ4NRN, and Erin Lemmon, daughter of Tim, WK4U, on the Field Day page of the NFARL web site.  If you wish to order a shirt, please do so directly from Susan Redd, KJ4HCC.  The order form is on the NFARL Mart home page.  The shirts will be white, with Edward's art on the left breast and Erin's art on back.  Pricing and other relevant details are on the order form.  Please note, if you would like to have your T-shirt delivered at the May meeting, she must have your order no later than May 11.

We are also still looking for volunteers to fill several key jobs at Field Day.  Clyde, KJ4MIJ, sent out an appeal a few days ago for a variety of positions.  We need shift captains (people responsible for safety, filling the generators, and being general go-to people on-site), runners (people to run off-site errands for things like fuel, ice, drinks, coffee, etc.), greeters to meet people as they come on-site and help them sign in, talk-in operators, etc.  These are all extremely important positions that lead to our overall success.  If you have a few minutes or a few hours you can give the Field Day team in these positions, please contact Clyde and let him know.

That's all for now.  As always, if you have questions you can email me at ak4ik at nfarl dot org or take advantage of our Field Day email address, fieldday at nfarl dot org.

Thanks to everyone and 73,

Ian, AK4IK Field Day Chief Cook and Bottle-Washer
