Contesting SIG
Learn the advantages that contesting offers the radio amateur.
The Contesting SIG, a new NFARL special interest group hosted by Verne, W8BLA, and Mack, W4AX, will hold its next meeting on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 9:00AM.
The meeting will be held at Mack, W4AX's QTH at 310 Dancers Way, Alpharetta, GA 30009. Park on the street. Talk in on 147.06 + (600k) with 100 Hz tone.
There are many opportunties to make progress toward the DX Century Club when contests are on; the SIG will provide pointers on how to look for that rare DX and how to get a QSO with some success even with low power.
